A Khata is a property record maintained by the concerned local authority in Karnataka. Properties may have different Khata statuses depending on the authority and nature of the property. A-Khata generally refers to properties recorded under the municipal authority, while B-Khata is generally associated with properties recorded by Gram Panchayats.
